Embroidery

Our minimum for custom embroidery is typically 12 pieces. Digitizing (converting your artwork into an embroidery stitch file) is a one-time setup cost — once your design is digitized, reorders are fast and easy. Embroidery pricing is based on stitch count, number of decoration locations, garment cost, and quantity. Higher stitch count designs (more complex logos) cost more to run because they take longer. A clean, simplified logo embroidered on a left chest runs very efficiently.

There's also a one-time digitizing fee to set up your design as a stitch file. Once that's done, it's yours for reorders. Request a quote and we'll give you a full breakdown.

Digitizing is the process of converting your logo or artwork into a stitch file. A set of instructions that tells the embroidery machine exactly where to place every stitch, in what direction, and in what sequence. Poor digitizing leads to distorted logos, thread breaks, and an unprofessional finished product. Good digitizing is an art. At Goteez, our in-house team digitizes every design before production. We take pride in clean, well-executed stitch files that produce consistent results order after order.

Most embroidery machines support up to 15 thread colors in a single design. For most business logos, 2–5 colors is the sweet spot. Thread colors are selected from a standard industry color chart (we use Madeira and Robison-Anton thread lines) and matched as closely as possible to your brand's colors.

Exact color matching depends on the thread palette available. A true PMS matching isn't always possible with thread, but we'll get as close as the medium allows and show you a digital mockup before production

Absolutely! We're particularly good at it too. Embroidering curved surfaces like structured caps requires specialized hooping techniques to prevent distortion. Our team has experience running logos cleanly across cap fronts, sides, and backs. If you've seen hats from other vendors where the logo looks warped or puckered, that's a digitizing and production issue. We take extra care to make sure your cap embroidery lays flat and looks sharp.

We work from standard industry thread palettes (Madeira, Robison-Anton) and select the closest available match to your brand colors. If you have PMS values for your brand, share them and we'll identify the closest thread match. True PMS-to-thread matching isn't always exact. Thread has physical properties that don't always map 1:1 with ink. We'll show you a digital color mockup and can also provide a physical sample stitch-out on request before running a large order.

Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days from artwork approval. If we're digitizing a new design, that will need to happen first. Then you'll review a digital proof before we run production.

Only for certain applications. Embroidery is stitched directly into the fabric and doesn't crack, peel, or fade the way ink can under harsh washing conditions. It's the preferred choice for workwear, uniforms, and professional apparel that gets washed frequently and needs to hold up long-term. For softer garments like lightweight t-shirts, embroidery can feel heavy or stiff depending on the design. Our team will help you choose the right decoration method for the item and use case — screen printing, DTF, and embroidery all have their ideal applications.

In select cases, we can embroider customer-supplied garments, however, we source garments through our network of premium vendors and recommend ordering apparel through us to ensure quality, durability, and a fair price. We carry hundreds of styles from top brands like Gldan, Next Level, LAT, Port Authority, Harriton, OGIO, Columbia, Carhartt, Bella+Canvas, and more.
